Performance BonusesIt is common practice in Cambodia for the employer to reward their workers through contractual or discretionary bonuses. While there is no actual requirement under the Cambodian labour law for the employer to pay bonuses to employees, however, the employer can choose to do so, provided that the minimum standards set by the Labour Law for remuneration are met.
Health InsuranceIf an employee is injured on the job, they are generally entitled to have their health care expenses paid for by the employer.
LeaveThe employees are entitled to take public holidays as leave as well as the 18 days of Annual Leave, and the employees are generally entitled to up to 6 months of Sick Leave if a medical certificate is provided. Moreover, there is Maternity Leave of 90 days with 50% pay, one day of paid Paternity Leave and there is the Parental Leave which fall under special leave where the employee entitled up to 7 days per event of the family emergencies.
AllowancesIn general, employees receive health care allowance, housing allowance, and transportation allowance.
Once the employer and employee agree on the exceeding benefits, it is binding by both parties until the agreement expires or is terminated.
